Axl: Personal Logo
When I started my interaction design studies, I wanted to brand myself as a designer - both to stand out and to create something from scratch, entirely on my own.

How I worked
Groundwork
Something I had never done before
The process began by sketching everything that came to mind on paper. I wanted something simple but visually appealing - something that could reflect me as a designer. I chose to remove the "e" from "Axel" because I liked how it looked with three letters, and I knew I wanted slightly fluid letterforms.
Design
Colour, texture, variation
I experimented with different colour combinations and textures to add variation to the logo - exploring how the same mark could feel different across contexts. It was a process of finding what felt authentic rather than just what looked technically correct.
Outcome
A mark that feels like me
The process was genuinely fun - and I'm very happy with how it turned out. "Axl" became more than just a shortened name; it's a mark I use consistently across my work and online presence. Designing it from scratch taught me a lot about how small decisions in letterform and colour can shift the entire feeling of a brand.
