About

Axel Bruusgaard Jewett

My name is Axel. I'm studying interaction design at NTNU Gjøvik, where I've really found a passion for creating products that make sense for people.

When I started studying UX design, I felt like I came home. I enjoy the mix of visual design, problem solving and hands-on prototyping, and I like figuring out how to turn challenges into something clear and usable. My background in Creative Industry Management from BI Business School, along with having both American and Norwegian citizenship, gives me a broader view of how design fits into the larger setting and helps me approach decisions with a more practical mindset.

This summer I worked as a UX intern at Morescope, which gave me a taste of what a designer's work looks like in a fast-moving startup. I interviewed users, worked closely with developers and designers, and created both low- and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma. The project was challenging, but I enjoyed diving into a complex sustainability framework and creating a solution that people understood.

I like being in environments where people care about what they are building and aren't afraid to push for better solutions. I'm reliable, curious and motivated, but I also just enjoy working with people. Good communication makes everything better - whether it's aligning with developers, bouncing ideas off other designers, or getting honest input from users. I believe great design comes from working openly with others.
